Religions For Peace

Religions for Peace is an International global coalition of faith leaders and institutions that works for peace, justice, and sustainability. It is the world’s oldest largest and most representative multi religious leadership platform, advancing common action among worlds faiths communities. It works in over 120 countries and six continents: Asia, Europe, Africa, Latin America and Caribbean, Middle East and North America representing about 50 religious traditions and communities.

PURPOSE OF THE RCCC 2023

The purpose of the RCCC 2023 is to provide a focal forum for you to share your latest research findings, knowledge, opinions, suggestions, and vision, while also providing a variety of interactive platforms, such as panels, keynote forums by prominent researchers in the field of climate change, group discussions, workshops, networking, and many exciting experiences.

Founded in 1970

Founded in 1970, with its headquarters in United Nations Building it has been a strong supporter of the United Nations and its goals, and a convenor of multi-religious dialogue and action. Religions for Peace enjoys consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), with UNESCO and with UNICEF. It also organizes world assemblies, regional conferences, and thematic forums to address the most pressing issues and challenges of our time.

RfP’s mission

RfP’s mission is to “mobilize people of faith to end violence and promote peace, justice, and human dignity for all.” And works works towards this goal by: Building Interfaith Relationships, Engaging in Interfaith Dialogue, Addressing Global Issues such as conflict, poverty, environmental degradation, and human rights violations through interfaith collaboration.

RfP advocates

RfP advocates for policies and actions that promote peace, justice, and human dignity and has Action-oriented Programs .RfP also works to promote environmental sustainability through interfaith dialogue and action. The organization engages with religious leaders and communities to promote environmental stewardship and to raise awareness of the impact of environmental degradation on communities and societies.

The organization Internationally

The organization Internationally has received numerous awards and recognition for its efforts to promote interfaith cooperation and peace, including the Templeton Prize for Progress in Religion in 2006 and Niwano Peace Prize to Dr Inamullah Khan. Dr Inamullah Khan and Khalid Ikramullah Khan are the founder of Religions for Peace Pakistan and one of the co-founders of Religions for Peace Asia and also served as one of the founders and Secretary General of Motammar e Alam e Islami World Muslim League.

Advocating for Environmental Protection: RfP advocates for policies and actions that promote environmental protection and sustainability. Encouraging Sustainable Practices: RfP encourages sustainable practices in communities, such as reducing waste, conserving water and energy, and promoting sustainable agriculture. Supporting Renewable Energy: RfP supports the use of renewable energy sources, such as solar and wind power, to reduce carbon emissions and promote sustainable development. Raising Awareness: RfP raises awareness about the impact of environmental degradation on communities and promotes the importance of environmental stewardship. Supporting Environmental Education: RfP supports environmental education programs in schools and communities to promote environmental awareness and sustainability. By engaging with religious leaders and communities around the world, RfP seeks to build a shared understanding of the importance of protecting the environment for the well-being of all people and future generations. Religions for Peace Pakistan (RfPP) is the national chapter of Religions for Peace Asia and a part of Religions for Peace International in Pakistan.It is a multi-religious organization that works on same principles and has been working in Pakistan since 1978 has since become a leading interfaith organization in the country.
